How does DPC differ from traditional healthcare?

In traditional healthcare a fee-for-service from insurance companies keeps providers busy seeing as many patients as possible in a short period of time. DPC is different in that we work for you, the patient. We maintain a small panel of patients which affords us the ability to offer longer, unrushed appointments ranging from 30 -90 minutes.

Will I see a nurse or doctor?

The care you receive at Inspire Health and Wellness will be provided by a board-certified nurse practitioner. Nurse practitioners can assess, diagnose, treat, and prescribe medications for common acute and chronic health conditions. Nurse Practitioners are highly trained experts in health education and wellness.

Will I still need medical insurance?

You may see us with or without insurance, however, Inspire Health and Wellness does not accept insurance. DPC does NOT replace insurance so we recommend that you still have a policy to meet your personal or family needs. Most of our patients have a high deductible major medical plan that covers costs if they were to become seriously ill.  If you have insurance, you may still use it to cover the costs of medications, labs, specialist referrals, or hospital stays.

What happens if I need to go to the hospital or see a specialist?

We will work to make clinically appropriate referrals to the hospital or specialists. In these instances, we will work closely with your specialists to ensure the best care is provided. In some instances, your care may be completely managed by a specialist.

What if I need medical attention when I am away from home?

We will make every effort to assist you in obtaining what you need. You may choose a virtual visit, phone call, or email to communicate with us. We are unable to address certain concerns if you are located in another state.

If I have Medicare can I still join?

Yes, you may still join, however we do not participate in Medicare or Medicaid. This would mean your monthly membership fee cannot be submitted to Medicare for reimbursement. You would also have to sign a waiver stating that neither you nor Inspire Health and Wellness will submit those fees for reimbursement by Medicare. You may still use your Medicare to pay for medication at the pharmacy, labs, x-rays, and other services.
